The Board of Directors of the Carver High Class of 1970 S.P. Charleston Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. (Charleston Scholarship Fund)  is made up of thirteen graduates from the Carver High School Class of 1970 who have come together for the singular and expressed purpose of awarding scholarships to deserving minority graduating seniors at Carver High School, Columbus, Georgia.


"My involvement and accomplishments at G.W. Carver High School were recognized by the S.P. Charleston Memorial Scholarship Fund. Furthermore, I am the recipient of a 2016 $500 Book Scholarship. I thank this Scholarship Fund for granting the financial assistance to attend Georgia State University as a Broadcast Journalism Major. They have contributed to a successful transition from a Carver Tiger to a Georgia State Panther."
